Computer Science Major

My name is Alex Tran. I am a junior at San José State University, on track to graduate in 2027. I study Computer Science, focusing on developing practical skills and applying classroom learning to real-world projects. I’m driven by a desire to solve problems through thoughtful design, data-driven decision making, and clear communication.

My short-term goals are to gain professional experience through internships and collaborative projects, strengthen technical and professional skills, and build a portfolio that demonstrates what I can deliver. I’m actively seeking opportunities to learn new tools. I plan to contribute to meaningful work and work alongside experienced mentors.

Long-term, I aim to establish myself in a role where I can lead projects that create measurable impact. I’m committed to continuous learning, staying current with industry trends, and developing leadership abilities so I can contribute strategically and help shape solutions.

Outside of academics and professional development, I enjoy doing different things, which help me stay balanced and bring fresh perspectives to my work. I’m eager to connect with peers, mentors, and potential collaborators who value curiosity, integrity, and results.
